Crafting Modern Mosaics

Brittany Knotek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art Practice (2011) from UC Berkeley. Initially focused on painting, her practice expanded in 2020 when she began studying ceramics at Portland Community College. Her current mosaic work bridges these disciplines - handcrafting tiles from clay and assembling them into compositions that function as “ceramic paintings,” where surface, color, and form are built piece by piece.
